For the convenience of devotees attending the Navratri fair at Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula from April 9 to 17, Haryana Roadways has announced a special bus service. The buses will operate from the bus stand in Sector 5, making it easier for devotees to reach the sacred temple grounds.

Mansa Devi Temple: A Sacred Pilgrimage Site
The Mansa Devi Temple, nestled in the Shivalik foothills of Bilaspur in the Panchkula district of Haryana, is dedicated to Mata Mansa Devi, a revered form of the Hindu goddess Durga. Built by Maharaja Gopal Singh of Manimajra during 1811-1815, the temple boasts a stunning Nagara-style architecture with a curvilinear spire adorned with miniature shrines.
Adjacent to the main temple stands the Patiala temple, constructed by Sh. Karam Singh, the Maharaja Patiala, in 1840. This temple features pancharatha-style architecture with semi-pyramidal conical spires and also houses the sacred pindi.
Significance of Mansa Devi Temple
The temple holds immense significance for Hindu devotees across India who flock here seeking blessings and the fulfillment of their wishes. It serves as a place of spiritual solace and devotion, attracting pilgrims throughout the year.

Special Arrangements for Devotees
During a recent meeting chaired by Panchkula deputy commissioner and Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board chief administrator Sushil Sarwan, preparations for the upcoming fair were reviewed. In addition to the special bus service, electric buses will also be available for devotees traveling to the temple premises.
At Kalka's Kali Mata temple, devotees will receive free transportation from the parking lot to the temple premises via autos. The shrine board has also made arrangements to assist senior citizens, pregnant women, and disabled individuals.
Enhanced Security Measures
To ensure a safe and secure environment, the fair site has been divided into three zones, with a duty magistrate appointed in each zone. Police checkpoints will be established at 13 locations, and a control room will be set up on-site. Parking facilities will be available at six locations, and five police patrolling parties will be deployed, with 1,130 police personnel assigned to fair duty.
Other Precautionary Measures
To maintain cleanliness and hygiene, uninterrupted 24-hour electricity supply will be ensured at Mansa Devi temple, Kali Mata temple, and Chandi Mata temple. Additionally, a joint campaign by the Haryana State Pollution Control Board and municipal corporation will be conducted to eliminate the use of plastic carry bags during the fair.
Healthcare facilities will be readily available, with doctors stationed at the temple dispensary round-the-clock. Ambulances will be stationed nearby, and medical camps will be organized by AYUSH and the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA).
The public health engineering department will ensure access to clean drinking water, with regular water testing. Food safety officers will monitor the quality of langar and prasad by conducting sampling and testing.
