In a major step towards better rail travel in Bihar, Indian Railways has announced a new Namo Bharat Rapid Train that will run between Gaya and Ayodhya. This new train service will help connect two important cities known for their religious and cultural value. While Gaya is an important place for Buddhists, Ayodhya is famous for the grand Ram temple. The new train is expected to help more tourists and pilgrims travel between these places with ease.

Better Connections and Regional Growth
This new service is part of a bigger plan to improve rapid rail links in Bihar. It will join the existing Namo Bharat train that already runs between Jaynagar and Patna. The upcoming Gaya-Ayodhya route will pass through important cities like Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Barauni, and Mokama. These stops will improve access and transport across Bihar, making travel easier for many people.
A Response to Longtime Public Demand
Local groups and citizens have welcomed this announcement with great joy. DK Jain, President of the Grand Card Passenger Association, said that the train was a result of many public requests. He said people in Gaya and nearby districts have been asking for better train services for a long time. This new route will connect three mythological cities-Gaya, Varanasi, and Ayodhya-and help religious tourism grow.
Train Schedule and Fare Details
The Namo Bharat Rapid Train will run six days a week. It will leave Gaya Junction at 5 am and reach Ayodhya by 11 am. The return trip will start at 5 pm from Ayodhya and reach Gaya by 11 pm. This schedule will help people plan easy day trips between the two cities. The train will stop at many key junctions including Rafiganj, Sasaram, DD Upadhyay Junction, Kashi, Varanasi Junction, Jaunpur Junction, Shahganj, Akbarpur, and Gosaiganj.
The train will have unreserved air-conditioned coaches, and the ticket price is expected to be Rs 500. This affordable fare will make it easy for many people, including pilgrims and tourists, to travel.

The launch of this train will not only support tourism but also improve the local economy by making it easier to travel. The Railways also plan to introduce more such trains to improve regional links. This is the second Namo Bharat train in Bihar, and it shows the Railways' focus on building a better travel network.
