Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started a two-day visit to four Indian states, focusing on development and infrastructure. His tour began on May 29, 2025, and comes just before the celebration of his third term's first anniversary. A major part of this trip highlights key projects aimed at improving connectivity, energy, and economic growth. Among the most important announcements is the new terminal at Patna airport, which is expected to transform travel and boost tourism in Bihar.

New Airport Terminal and Civil Enclave in Bihar
In Patna, PM Modi inaugurated a brand-new terminal at the airport. Built at a cost of ₹1,200 crore, this terminal will make air travel easier for millions of people. It is expected to handle a large number of passengers every year and improve Bihar's overall air connectivity.
Along with this, Modi also laid the foundation stone for a new civil enclave at Bihta airport. These two major projects show the government's strong push to improve infrastructure in Bihar. With better travel options, both tourism and business opportunities in the state are expected to grow.

Warm Welcome in Patna and Success of Operation Sindoor
Modi was warmly welcomed by thousands of people in Patna. The crowd celebrated the recent success of Operation Sindoor, which was a response to the Pahalgam terror attack. PM Modi had earlier promised strong action, and his visit to Patna, after touring Sikkim and West Bengal, was seen as a message of both security and development.
Focus on West Bengal's Progress
Earlier in the day, PM Modi visited Alipurduar district in West Bengal. There, he launched a ₹1,010 crore City Gas Distribution (CGD) project. This project will bring piped natural gas to over 2.5 lakh homes and set up 19 CNG stations. Modi said this will reduce the need for gas cylinders and offer a safe and cheaper gas option to many families.
He also shared that West Bengal's progress is very important for India's overall growth. "The central government is continuously giving speed to infrastructure, innovation, and investment in West Bengal," he said.

Celebrating 50 Years of Sikkim Joining India
In Sikkim, PM Modi celebrated the state's 50th year of joining the Indian Union. He praised the state's progress and said it has a bright future in global tourism and sports. He also praised Sikkim's rich culture and democratic spirit.
The day ended with Modi's meeting at the State BJP headquarters, likely to discuss upcoming state elections. His visit clearly shows a mix of development plans and political preparation.
PM Modi's visit to Patna and other states is a big step in India's development journey. These projects promise better transport, more jobs, and stronger national unity.
