The Namo Bharat Rapid Rail, earlier known as Vande Metro, is quickly becoming a favorite travel choice for middle-class families in India. The Ahmedabad-Bhuj route of the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail covers a distance of 357 kilometers. The journey takes around 5 hours and 45 minutes. This fast rail is operated and maintained by the Western Railway zone. It is the first rapid rail service of its kind in India.
The train, numbered 94801/94802, now stops at twelve stations instead of the earlier ten. The new halts include Sabarmati, Chandlodiya, Ambli Road, Sanand, Viramgam, Dhrangandhra, Halvad, Samakhiali, Bhachau, Gandhidham, and Anjar. These additions help connect more people across Gujarat.
Schedule Changes for Better Convenience
The Western Railway has updated the train's schedule at five stations on the Ahmedabad to Bhuj route. On the return trip from Bhuj to Ahmedabad, the timings have changed at eight stations. These changes are made to make the journey more convenient for regular travellers.
Affordable Ticket and Modern Features
The fare for a journey between Ahmedabad and Bhuj on this train is Rs 455. The Namo Bharat Rapid Rail has twelve air-conditioned coaches that offer a smooth and pleasant journey. The coaches come with many modern features like centrally controlled automatic sliding doors and stylish modular interiors.
Passengers also enjoy continuous LED lighting, toilets with vacuum systems, phone charging ports, panoramic windows, CCTVs, and route map indicators. These features make the ride more relaxing and enjoyable.
Safety with Speed
The Namo Bharat Rapid Rail can travel at a speed of up to 110 kilometers per hour. It has a fully sealed gangway that keeps out dust and water. The flooring and seats are made from fire-resistant materials.
There is an automatic system that detects smoke or fire, along with alarms to warn passengers in case of emergency. An aerosol-based fire suppression system is also installed to improve safety during the journey.
