The Bornadi Wildlife Sanctuary is home to the Hispid Hare and Pigmy Hog. The wildlife sanctuary is located in the Darrang district. Spread over only 26.22 sq km, the Bornadi Wildlife Sanctuary is an ideal bhabar tract. Tourists can expect to see mammals such as Gaur, Elephant, Tiger, Small Indian Civet, Leopard, Jungle Cat, Porcupine, Chinese Pangolin, Himalayan Black Bear, Barking Deer apart from Pigmy Hog and Hispid Hare.

Peafowl, Hornbill, Bengal florican and the Swamp partridge are some of the birds that can be found in the wildlife sanctuary. The nearest town to the Bornadi Wildlife Sanctuary is Mangaldai located about 90 km away.

The Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi Airport is the nearest international airport and is located about 100 km from the wildlife sanctuary. The best time to visit Bornadi Wildlife Sanctuary is between the months of November and April. Many animals can be spotted during this time.
