Mettukulam is a small village in Katpadi taluk in Vellore district. It is popularly known for the Muthumariamman Temple. The supreme goddess, an incarnation of Sri Mahamuthumariamman, is revered in this temple. It is believed that a simple glimpse of this holy deity is enough to ward off all ill luck of the devotees and will lead them in happiness and prosperity throughout their lives.

The temple complex of Sri Muthumariamman Temple is a home to the shrines of Lord Mahaganapathy, Lord Bala Muruga and the nine planets known as Navagraha, all housed in independent sanctum sanctorums.

The serene feel of this temple's atmosphere radiates immense peace as well as strength. The Anjaneyar Temple is located 12 km from the old bus stand of Mettukulam and 7 km from the Vellore city between Chittoor and the Vellore highway.
