The Land of Falls and Waters – Tourist places in and around Dharmapuri

The well-known Hogenakkal falls is located at the border of TamilNadu and Karnataka. This place is about 46 km away from the city Dharmapuri. This is a perfect place where visitors can relax and allow the serene waters of the waterfall calm their minds.

Another beautiful spot is Krishnagiri dam situated between Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri. Kottai Kovil, Chenraya Perumal Temple and Shri Theerthagirishwarar temple (located in Theerthamalai) are famous temples of this place.

The other attractions of Dharmapuri include - Mount Carmel Church, C.S.I Zion Church, Sacred Heart Cathedral and Mettur dam. Adhiyamankottai is located about 7 km away from Dharmapuri which contains ruins of a fort which is more or less oval in shape.
