Nandi Hills is a scenic spot that is close to the Bangalore International Airport which makes it easily accessible for visitors. Over the decades this place has become a popular picnic spot due to its scenic surroundings and the temples that are present here. It is located just 60km from Bangalore city and travellers come here to watch the sight of the rising sun.

Distance
Nandi hills lies at a distance of 61 km from the city of Bangalore and would take you nearly one and a half hour to reach here.

Entrance
There is a huge archway through which you enter this heavenly place. Do bear in mind that there is an entry fee charged here for everyone.

A Steep Climb
In order to reach the summit you will have to climb a number of stairs. Though this may be tiring but the cover of greenery around you is sure to keep your spirits high.

There is a temple at the summit of the hill which is dedicated to Nandi.

The Holy Tank
Just beside the temple is a stepwell where devotees came and cleansed themselves. Although now this place has been marked off, you can still see the tank here.
