Le Colonial is probably Asia’s oldest colonial house- dating back to 1506 and belongs to Neemrana Group of Hotels. It is reputed to have housed Vasco da Gama and, as the only grand European-style house near the new church, it was also used by St. Francis.
This 16th century colonial home is now run as one of the heritage hotels in Cochin by Neemrana. All efforts have been made to maintain the old charm of Le Colonial while ensuring more than the basic comforts that have come to be associated with the changes in lifestyle since the 16th century.

At Le Colonial, broadly it serve a South-Indian cuisine with a few Continental or Oriental dishes at random, to suit a range of tastes and palates. Italian and Chinese dishes are often added to enrich the range of buffet spreads.
The meats and sea-food are procured on a regular basis. We prefer not to deep freeze our foods for long durations or for non-seasonal offering.
