Hyderabad Weather Report- May 10, 2026: Heat Continues As Evening Thunderstorm Chances Remain

Hyderabad is expected to experience another intensely warm summer day on Sunday, May 10, 2026, with temperatures remaining high through the afternoon before slightly easing during the night hours. Weather conditions across the city point toward a combination of dry daytime heat, rising humidity, and the possibility of isolated evening thunderstorm activity linked to pre-monsoon developments over Telangana.

Temperature And Day Conditions

The city is likely to record a minimum temperature of around 25-26 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs may reach between 36 and 37 degrees Celsius in several parts of Hyderabad.

From late morning onward, temperatures are expected to rise rapidly under mostly sunny skies. Areas exposed to direct sunlight for longer durations, especially central urban zones with dense construction, may feel considerably hotter than the actual recorded temperature. The "feels like" temperature could remain uncomfortable during peak afternoon hours because of humidity levels staying close to 80 percent in some pockets.

Neighbourhoods with heavy traffic movement and concrete concentration, including parts of Secunderabad, Begumpet, Punjagutta, Ameerpet, Kukatpally, Madhapur, Gachibowli and the Financial District, are likely to experience stronger heat retention through the day.

Evening Weather Shift Expected

Although most of the day is expected to remain dry, meteorological patterns suggest that conditions may begin changing later in the evening. Gusty winds and isolated thunderstorm activity could develop in parts of Hyderabad due to ongoing pre-monsoon atmospheric instability over the Deccan region.

Cloud build-up may increase after sunset, especially toward the western and northwestern sections of the city. Areas on the outskirts, including Patancheru, Miyapur, Kompally, Shamshabad and Medchal, may witness brief wind activity or scattered light showers if storm cells strengthen during the evening hours.

At present, rainfall probability across the city remains low overall, but isolated weather disturbances cannot be ruled out completely.

Heat Impact Across Hyderabad

The afternoon heat is expected to remain the primary weather concern on May 10. Outdoor exposure between 12 pm and 4 pm could feel exhausting, particularly for commuters, delivery workers, construction labourers and people travelling on two-wheelers.

Road surfaces and elevated corridors are also expected to trap heat during the afternoon. Traffic-heavy stretches such as the Outer Ring Road approach zones, HITEC City corridors and major junctions in the central city may feel significantly warmer than surrounding suburban areas.

Humidity levels are expected to remain noticeable through the evening, slowing the cooling process even after sunset.

Air Quality And Wind Conditions

Air quality levels are currently expected to stay within the satisfactory category across most parts of Hyderabad. Wind speeds are likely to remain moderate at around 10 kmph for most of the day before briefly strengthening if evening storm activity develops.

What Residents Can Expect

Hyderabad's weather on May 10 is expected to follow a familiar late-summer pattern; intense daytime heat followed by slightly unstable evening conditions. While widespread rainfall is not currently expected, changing skies and isolated thunderstorms may briefly affect some areas later in the day.

Residents heading outdoors during afternoon hours are likely to face the harshest conditions, while evening commuters may need to stay alert for sudden gusty winds or brief showers in isolated parts of the city.
