Siddheshwara Temple, Haveri

Siddhesvara Temple is one of the historical remains of Haveri. The elegant soapstone structure belongs to the Chalukyan style of architecture. The temple houses many sculptures which show the artistic talent that existed in the region. In fact, the different kinds of carvings make it difficult to identify whether the shrine followed Shaivite or Vaishnavite culture. However, now the presiding deity is Lord Shiva. Vivid and luxurious carvings, large temple complex and intricate sculptures make it interesting to explore this heritage site.
