The fourth of the Panch Kedars in the world, Rudranath is situated in the Chamoli district of Garhwal, Uttarakhand. The famous town abodes a large temple dedicated to lord Shiva. One of the highly respected temples with immense religious significance in Uttarakhand, Rudranath temple is gracefully housed in the Garhwal Himalayas.
The famous temple has one of the five body parts of Lord Shiva which was divided by himself in order to avoid the Pandavas. The temple also has idols of Kunti, Pandavas, and Draupadi. There is a holy kund called Narad Kund near the temple. All the Devotees, in order to follow a ritual of cleanliness, take bath in the kund before entering the temple. The devotees and tourists need to trek a 21 km long challenging trek to reach the temple. The trail offers some breathtaking views of forests and the nearby peaks such as Nanda Devi Trishul, and Nanda Ghunti, making the path itself a beautiful attraction towards a beautiful destination.
