Grave of Barog is the burial place of the person, after whom the town is named. Barog was the engineer who was assigned with the task of constructing a tunnel in the town. To hasten the construction, Barog had ordered the digging of the tunnel from the two opposite ends of a mountain.
Due to a mistake in his calculations, the tunnels did not meet, and he was fined for this blunder. Barog could not bear the embarrassment and later committed suicide. If the plan had been successful, the tunnel would have been the longest in the world.
The natural beauty of the gravesite, beautiful garden in the compound, and the history behind it have made the place a noted tourist spot.
