Jaigad Lighthouse and Fort, Ganpatipule

Must Visit

The Jaigad Lighthouse and fort serve as popular attractions in Ganpatipule. Located atop the peninsular tip, the Jaigad Lighthouse was constructed nearly 180 years back in 1832. It is situated in Siddha Buruj.

Though almost 2 centuries old, the lighthouse still works. It can be viewed on all days save Sunday.

The Jaigad Fort, is situated nearby atop a cliff. It is at a distance of 35 km from Ganpatipule. The fort is mostly in ruins, however the outer wall still stands strong.

The point where the Sangameshwar River meets the Arabian Sea can be espied upon from atop the fort.
