Wardha - History Of Wardha

Wardha holds a prolific place in history of being the land that was ruled by several great kingdoms consisting of the Chalukyas, the Mauryas, the Rajputs and the Satavahanas.

Wardha was first under the captivation of the Bahmani kingdom back in 1351. It later came under the Imad Shahi rulers in 1518 when the Bahmani dynasty disintegrated. Post the invasion of the Mughal dynasties, the region of Wardha finally came under the British rule.
