Renovation Works at Konark Sun Temple
The Konark Temple of Odisha (Orissa), a state in the eastern part of India, is located in one corner of the golden triangle of Bhubaneswar, Puri and Konark. The temple is a superb demonstration of the art and culture which existed during the reign of King Narasimhadeva of the Ganga dynasty.
The temple, dedicated to the Sun God, was originally built with 12 pairs of wheels made of stone. The shrine symbolizes the huge chariot of the sun god. It is one of the most visited places in India as it holds an unmatched position in the history of the country. Featured here is the renovation process of this huge temple.
