Ukhrul Weather

The best time to visit Ukhrul is during the summers when the temperature isn’t too harsh. The springs leave a beautiful mark all around, and the lush green mountains are a treat for the eyes. Since it stays mostly dry during the summers, travelling from one point to other becomes easy too.

Summer

Summers in Ukhrul are pleasant starting from March and extending till May. The maximum temperature recorded in Ukhrul is usually not more than 33 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature doesn’t drop to anything lower than 20 degrees Celsius. Due to the pleasant weather conditions prevailing, many tourists visit Ukhrul during the summers.

Monsoon

Similar to the rest of the state, monsoons bring torrential rain to Ukhrul. The months of June to September are wet with continuous rainfall. Sometimes the monsoons extend till October too. Perennial rainfall hampers outdoor activity making movement very difficult. Tourists prefer not to visit Ukhrul during the monsoons.

Winter

During winters, the temperature drops down quite drastically making it cold and freezing in Ukhrul. The winter months are from December to February. The mercury is known to have fallen till 3 degrees Celsius too. Proper winter care is a must for anyone travelling to Ukhrul during the winters.
