Wildlife Week 2021: We have listed special initiative programs planned by zoos, department of tourism and wildlife sanctuaries around the nation for nature lovers.

India is a proud owner of 200 wildlife sanctuaries. India has always been and will forever remain one of the best biodiversity hotspots in the world. And this October, India has a wild vacation plan to offer its people, especially wildlife photographers and nature lovers. India is celebrating Wildlife Week from 2-8 October this year, intending to protect its biodiversity and create awareness about preserving it.

Below we have listed special initiative programs planned by zoos, domestic tourism departments, and wildlife sanctuaries around the nation for nature lovers. Take part in Wildlife Week 2021 and enjoy the celebrations!

Wildlife Week in Karnataka

During this Wildlife week, the Karnataka wildlife society has initiated workshops and classes to make people understand the significance of wildlife conservation. Also, numerous activities are organised in separate zoos and sanctuaries in Karnataka to educate its citizens about wildlife.

Bandipur National Park, Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, Bhimgad Wildlife Sanctuary, Kudremukh National Park. Nagarhole National Park, Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, and BR Tiger Reserve, to name a few, are some of the most visited wildlife paradises in Karnataka, celebrating Wildlife Week 2021.

Wildlife Week in Visakhapatnam

As part of World Wildlife Week 2021, the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park in Visakhapatnam has organized various events and awareness activities from 2-8 October for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers. Moreover, on the last day of the event, 8 October, the zoo will treat visitors to a wildlife run. It's is an open invitation anyone can partake in this without any restraints.

There will be a short film/documentary competition and a photography competition on 'Wildlife Conservation' by Google. Wildlife Week in Lucknow

The Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is organising several fun events as part of the Wildlife Week celebrations to create awareness among the locals. Slogan writing, Quiz, and Essay competitions are some of the activities planned for kids (junior and senior categories) and adults alike, held from 1-6 October. The Essay theme is 'The Role of Zoos in Wildlife Conservation.

Wildlife Week in Tirupathi

Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park in Tirupati is celebrating Wildlife Week 2021 with a variety of events. Also, fun activities such as photo exhibitions, online and offline essay writing, lecture competitions, online quizzes, painting and poster, and wildlife photography competitions, will be conducted on the premises.

Wildlife Week in Tamil Nadu

The Tamil Nadu Forest Department is organizing numerous fun competitions for Tamil Nadu Forest Department School college students. The events will take place from 2-9 October. Also, there will be a short film competition on marine wildlife, mammalian environment, waterfowl, nesting behaviour,, climate change, human-animal conflict, wetland wildlife and reptile history. And drawing and essay competitions for Junior division 18 years of age (3 minutes) and Senior division, over 18 (5 minutes).

Wildlife Week in Kerala

Under the supervision of the Kerala Forest and Wildlife Department, various events are organized as part of this wildlife week celebration. Competitions like Wildlife photography competition, poster designing, short film and travelogue competition will be conducted, to name a few.

The Wildlife Week celebrations in the state of Kerala will begin on Saturday (02.10.2021). Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the function held at Palakkad Aranya Bhavan Complex at noon. Forest and Wildlife Minister AK Sasindran will preside. Dr AJT Jonesing, a wildlife scientist, will speak about the possibilities and challenges of wildlife conservation in India during the technical session, which will begin at 2.30 pm.

Wildlife Week in Rajasthan

The Nature Club of Rajasthan has organized week-long activities to celebrate Wildlife Week from 2 to 7 October. The week is dedicated to beloved late Padma Shree Kailash Sankhala. Founder & former director of project tiger in India. He is best known for his work in preserving tigers.
