The main attraction of the city is the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park which has been declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, due to the forts, palaces and mosques galore spread across an area of over 3,280 acres.

The entire city was built by Sultan of Gujarat Sultanate, Mahmud Begada. Some of the most magnificent places that cannot be missed here are the Jami Masjid, Kevada Mosque, Kalika Mata Temple, Bwaman Mosque, helical stepwell, to name a few of the many.
