The regions of the Indian Himalayas are mystic beauties. The mountainous landscapes and fluctuating weather adds more charm to these places. A tour around some of the unexplored destinations will expose you to the pristine and untouched environment in Himachal Pradesh.

Himachal tourism is always famous for the hill stations like Kullu-Manali, Shimla and so on. Apart from these spots, there are many places to be explored and that are as beautiful as any other famous destination.

Karsog Valley

Karsog Valley

Karsog Valley is all about greenery, apple orchards, scenic landscapes and temples. It is located in Mandi district about 110km from Shimla.

The Mahunag Temple, Mamleshwar Temple and Kamaksha temple are some of the prime religious places here. The pristine climate of Karsog Valley gives a soothing experience.

Malana is said to one of the most beautiful villages in India. There are many tales regarding this enticing place.

Many legends of Malana talk about its existence from ages. It is situated in Parvati Valley and is a home to a few families who have been staying here from a long time.

On the banks of the river Sutlej, the valley of Kalpa looks like awe-inspiring beauty. The Kinnaur Kailash Himalayan ranges are a major attractions to look out here.

Kalpa is known for Himalayan trekking trails, pine-nut forests, apple orchards, Reckong Peo (headquarters of Kinnaur) and Chanadika Devi Temple.

Barot Valley in Mandi is a scenic village which is an unexplored destination.

Barot is also known for trek routes leading to Kullu and Manali. The Uhl river dam is one of the major attractions here. The forested regions surrounding the valley is popular for camping and also angling near the river.

Chitkul

Chitkul

Chitkul Village on the banks of Baspa river is located near Indo-China border. Chitkul is known for an ancient temple of Buddha called Kagyupa temple.

The village is also known for the potatoes, these potatoes are said to be the best in the world. Chitkul witnesses heavy snowfall in winter and inhabitants move to some other region during that time.
