Built in 1955, the Malampuzha Dam is the largest irrigation system in Kerala, and is among the best tourist attractions in Malampuzha. The reservoir offers splendid views with Western Ghats as a backdrop. It is also a great boating destination, making the place apt for a family trip.

Thenkurussi

Thenkurussi is a small village that is located around 25 km away from Malampuzha. The place is known for its rich culture and heritage. Some of the places to see here are the Thayankavu Temple, Siva Temple and Elamannam Shankaranarayanan Temple.

Snake Park

Snake Park is located close to the Malampuzha Dam and Malampuzha Gardens. This is a snake rescue and rehabilitation centre that is maintained by the Government of Kerala. You can see many wounded snakes getting treated here. Crocodiles can also be found in this park. From the poisonous and non-poisonous snakes to tortoises and crocodiles, you can see some of the deadliest as well as harmless creatures here. The park is open to visitors on all days from 8 AM to 6 PM.

Malampuzha Gardens

Rich in its luscious flower beds, green landscapes, fountains and pools, Malampuzha Gardens is undoubtedly one among the top attractions of Malampuzha. Some of the unique attractions that make the Gardens a must visit are the Roperway, Yakshi Statue, Rock Garden and Rose Garden. The visitors are also provided with facilities like food courts, lockers, shopping courts, rest rooms, etc. The garden is open from 10 AM to 6 PM on weekdays and from 10 AM to 8 PM on weekends and other government approved holidays.
