Chitrakoot waterfalls, which is also known as Chitrakote Falls, happens to be India's widest waterfall. Due to this, it has the nickname of Niagara Falls of India. It falls from a beautiful height of 95 ft and is particularly magnificent to look at during the monsoon, since it tends to gush with full force. The falls is located 276 km from Raipur, capital city of Chhattisgarh.

One of the most important pilgrimage sites of Chhattisgarh, Bhoramdeo Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The complex has four temples, wherein the main temple is constructed using stone. The style of architecture and certain features like the erotic sculptures, resemble that of the Khajuraho Temple and Konark Sun Temple. The temple is located 132 km from Raipur.

Kotumsar Cave is one of the major tourist attraction of Chhattisgarh that is named after a nearby village called Kotumsar. It is located about 29 km from the town of Jagdalpur.

The cave is formed from a vertical fissure in a hill, which also happens to be the entrance of the cave. The tunnel is almost 200 m with some passages. Kotumsar Cave is believed to be a place of religious significance, where some pilgrims light incense sticks and camphor in the cave.

Located in the Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh is the Sirpur Group of Monuments, a place of great archaeological value. This site consists of Hindu, Jain and Buddhist monuments that were built between 5th to 12th centuries. It is nestled by the banks of river Mahanadi.

According to recent excavations, there have been 12 Buddha Viharas, innumerable temples, 1 Jain Vihara and an underground granary market. This location is surely a delight for all those history buffs. It is located 83 km from Raipur.
