Beaches of Andaman are the treasured gifts of nature which attracts tourists from all over the world. Azure water and the white sands make Andamans distinct from all the beaches in India. Along with this are the verdant greenery backdrop and crystal blue sky that makes one glued to this place. Amongst all the beaches that Andaman Islands harbour, there are few beaches which area must visit. These top beaches either attract tourists for some uniqueness or due to incredible beauty. Here are listed some of the top beaches of Andaman which you must visit as you plan your next trip to this heavenly abode.

Radhanagar Beach

Situated in Havelock Island, Radhanagar Beach is a jewel in the crown of Andaman Islands. The spellbinding sunset view of Radhanagar beach is marvellous. Not only does this beach offer picturesque views but the food shacks are the favourite hub for seafood lovers. Snorkelling and scuba diving can be tried out at this top beach of Andaman.

Elephant Beach

Elephant Beach of Havelock Island is another tourist hotspot. Tourists generally flock here to view the underwater corals. Snorkelling is a must do in Elephant Beach. Bikers enjoy a ride from Radhanagar Beach to Elephant Beach. Radhangar Becah is just a few miles away from this beach. Adventurous folk can also trek a few spots at this top beach of Andaman.

Corbyn's Cove Beach

Soft sandy beach amidst grooves of palm and coconut trees is what this beach is all about. While scuba diving and surfing are some of the adventurous water sports which requires enough skill, boating is another activity which can be readily enjoyed at this top beach of Andaman. Situated at a distance of 8 km, this beach is the nearest one to the city. Those fond of lazing by the beach can relish sun bathing and swimming.

Vijaynagar Beach

Vijaynagar Beach is also known as Beach No.5 and is situated in Havelock Island. The sandy beach is at times interrupted by rocky landscape. Mahua trees are the unique feature of this beach. Trunk of these trees are found dragging on the floor for a certain distance before they grow upright. Tourists can relish the waves of the sea sitting under the shade of these trees. Apart from other resorts, Dolphin Resort run by Tourism Department is available for accommodation.

Red Skin Island Beach

This island is a part of Wandoor village which is located in South Andaman. Jolly Buoy is another beautiful island at Wandoor and together with Red Skin Island Beach, they make for an enthralling tourist spot. Tourists coming here should not miss out the red, blue and sponge corals. To cover both these beaches a day trip is sufficient. Buses from Wandoor beach transports the tourists to Port Blair.

Neil Island

One of the top beaches in Andaman, Neil Island is situated 36 km from Port Blair. Tourists can reach out to this picturesque beach by boat which runs daily between these two places. Eco friendly tourists will have their best time here. Some adventurous water sports involves snorkelling and scuba diving. The essence calm and peaceful village life can be felt at Neil Island.

Baratang Island

Baratang makes for another top beach in Andaman. It is unique for harbouring the mud volcanoes in India. These volcanoes have suddenly errupted after the tsunami in 2005. These volcanoes are known as 'jalki' in local language. Apart from Mud Volcanoes, Baratang Island also has limestone caves which are amazing natural wonders. Sunset at Parrot Island should not be missed by the tourists.

Butler Bay Beach

This is one of the picturesque beaches of Little Andaman. Other than the sandy beaches, shimmering waterfalls also forms an important part of this beach. Elephants are a special attraction of this top beach of Andaman as tourists can revel an elephant safari, elephant calves training and elephant lumbering. Surfing, sun bathing, coral viewing and boating are some other activities to enjoy here.

Cinque Island

Situated at a distance of 26 km from Port Blair, Cinque Island is another topmost beach of Andaman. Tourists visiting this island can explore the colourful underwater marine life and a den of rare corals. The island is surrounded by lush green forest which gives a mysterious appeal to the travellers.

Long Island Beach

This beach is at a distance of 82 km from Port Blair. Bordered by lush green forests, this beach is alo visited by dolphins at times. Eco huts are available here which are eco friendly accommodations. October to April is the ideal time to explore this pictorial island. The unspoiled feature of the beach will mesmerise one to the core.
