Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple

Located on the banks of Godavari river, Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple is one of the oldest temples in South India and is dedicated to Lord Rama. Due to its immense popularity amongst Vaishnavites, it is also considered as the Southern Ayodhya. Every year millions of tourists come here to pay respects to their lord and savour its divine surroundings.
This beautiful temple is located in the town of Bhadrachalam and hence, it is also known as the Bhadrachalam Temple. The major festivals celebrated here include Vaikuntha Ekadashi, Brahmotsavam and Vijayadashami.
Lakshmi Narasimha Temple

Dedicated to Lord Narasimha and built in the Dravidian style of architecture, Lakshmi Narasimha Temple is located on a hillock in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana. It is also one of the most popular and most visited temples in the state.
The temple is built inside a cave in which Lord Narasimha is placed in three forms - Jwala, Gandabherunda and Yogananda. You can also visit the Hanuman temple which is located in the compound of this beautiful temple.
Ramalingeswara Temple

Another important pilgrimage site in Telangana, Ramalingeswara Temple was built in the 11th century and is located in the valley of Palampet village. It is also known as Ramappa Temple as it was designed and built by the architect named Ramappa during the reign of Kakatiya rulers.
As the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, thousands of Hindu devotees throng the temple complex during the time of Maha Shivaratri. Due to its beautiful structural formation, it also attracts several tourists from other parts of the state and country.
The temple is built of red sandstone and is considered one of the architectural wonders in the state. From sculptures of dancers and drummers on brackets to basalt columns and intricately designed shikhara to carvings, each and every corner of the temple deserves to be studied.
Thousand Pillar Temple

Also known as Rudreshwara Swamy Temple, Thousand Pillar Temple is one of the most visited temples in Telangana and is located in the town of Hanamkonda. This beauteous temple was constructed in the 12th century and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva and Sun God.
With one thousand pillars, this beautiful temple is a flawless masterpiece of architecture. Decorated with several patterns and carvings on the pillars and the walls, Thousand Pillar Temple is certainly a wonder in itself.

Kuchadri Venkateswara Swamy Temple
Another significant pilgrim centre in the state of Telangana is Kuchadri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, which is located in the village of Kuchanpally in Medak district. It is one of the most revered temples in the region and hence, it attracts thousands of Hindu devotees every year.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Balaji and is believed to have been built during the 11th century. Being the temple of historical significance as well, it is also visited by several history lovers and tourists.
