The Government has now encouraged tourism in the form of the annual fest, Kinnaur Mahotsav where the tribals showcase their talents while the world watches in awe. The grand Kinnaur Mahotsav happens during late October and early November.
River Rafting!
Himachal is famous for river rafting or white-water rafting. This sport is offered on the Sutlej near Shimla, Beas near Kullu, Ravi near Chamba and Chandra in Lahaul. However, river rafting is closed during summers and winters owing it to the extreme weather conditions.
