Tadiandamol or Tadiyandamol is the highest peak in Kodagu district. The hill paths and the patches of Shola Forests can be seen on this trek. At the height of 1740mts, Tadiandamol is one of the best trekking places in Karnataka.
Distance of the Trek
The greenery kissing the blue sky does not make it seem like it is 8km to reach the peak. You will be engrossed in enjoying the aura till you finish the 7-8 hour Tadiandamol Trek. However, there are two routes which consume different time spans to complete the hike.

Begin the Journey
The trek begins from Kakkabe and takes you through the enchanting vistas. Kakkabe is around 26km to the town of Virajpet in Kodagu.

Trek Route
Tadiandamol Trek is an easy to moderate level trek. The first 4km is considerably an easy route; either you can start your trek from the main road or cover this distance in your vehicle. After this 4km, the real hike starts which is about 3km to the peak.
Camping
Tourists can either finish the whole trip in one day or camp in the foothills. On the way to the peak, there is a rocky patch which is usually the camping site in Tadiandamol Trek. Stay in a tent to feel the exuberant night sky in the Western Ghats.
How to Reach
The journey from Bangalore to Virajpet is around 240km. It is about 33km from Madikeri to Virajpet; the town has good transport system. Tourist can also hire a private vehicle and reach the trekking point.
Best Time to Visit
The months from October to February is the best time to go on Tadiandamol trek. Monsoon would have rejuvenated the forests and the pleasant weather is just ideal for treks.
