Best Time To Visit Sandakphu
Sandakphu is a year-round destination. However, if you are not expecting trekking trails to be covered with snow, then the best time to embark on your journey to Sandakphu is from March to June and October to November, as during this period of time, the climatic conditions are favourable and the weather is clear, letting you trek properly.

It is rightly said that your trip to Darjeeling is incomplete if you have not savoured the thrill of trekking to the highest peak in the state of West Bengal. Well, let us tell you that the trekking trails to Sandakphu are incredibly stimulating and full of enthusiasm.
Once you have reached Darjeeling or Siliguri, you need to hire a cab to Manebhanjan where the trek begins. From Manebhanjan, you need to trek up to a distance of around 2.5 km when you first stoppage comes at Meghma. From Meghma, you need to trek to Gairibans which is located at a distance of around 3 km. You can also take the alternative route from Meghma via Tonglu. Once you have reached Gairibans, you can take a break for few minutes and then head towards Sandakphu which is at a distance of around 4 km.
On the top of the mountain, you can also relish few moments gazing at the breathtaking views of Mount Everest and Kangchenjunga which look surreal out of their heavenly presence amidst clouds, fog and snow.

You can take a flight to Bagdogra Airport at Siliguri and then from there, you can take to the base of Sandakphu where you need to start your journey to the summit. Siliguri is also well connected by rail and road to nearby cities and town. Once you have reached Siliguri, you can take a cab to the base of Sandakphu and then from there, you can commence your journey to the highest peak in West Bengal.
