The small town of Jhajjar was once a part of the Rohtak district which later got divided. Initially called Chhajunagar this town is known for the bird sanctuary that is here. The sanctuary is said to be visited by more than 35,000 varities of migratory birds. It is a haven for nature lovers and bird watchers. Tourists visiting here also head to the sanctuary for seeing these amazing birds.

The historical city of Panipat is known for the many battles that were fought here. It also finds itself mentioned in the first verse of the Bhagwad Gita where it is referred to as 'dharamkshetra'. Keylong

Keylong

Keylong also known as the ‘Land of Monasteries' is a beautiful tourist destination of Himachal Pradesh. It offers visitors with several Buddhist pilgrimage centres, which are popular for their unique architectural deigns and have historic relevance. The Kardang Monastery and the Shasur Monastery are two of the famous monasteries here. It is also a popular destination for various adventure sports such as trekking, fishing, jeep safari, paragliding, skiing and camping. Tourists coming here can explore this wonderful city.

Gulmarg

Gulmarg is situated at an altitude of 2730 mt in the Baramulla district of Jammu & Kashmir. Tourists coming here must visit the Ningle Nallah, a stream originating from the melting snow of the Apharwat peak. You can cross the stream ending in Khilanmarg over a bridge, which is another popular tourist spot. During the walk, visitors can enjoy the natural beauty of the place and the magnificent view of the fourth highest peak in the world, the Nanga Parbat, standing tall at 8500 mt.

Poonch is a small hamlet in Jammu & Kashmir which is often referred to as 'Mini Kashmir'. It is located amidst natural surroundings and is a perfect place to head to with your family for a rejuvenating vacation. There are several attractions here which you can explore. The unique feature about this small village is that it is surrounded by the Actual Line of Control from three sides and hence is heavily guarded.

Now this is for those in search of spiritual solace. Haridwar also known as 'The Gateway to the Gods' is another perfect destination to head to this October. It is a religious place and is believed that it was blessed by the Gods. You can also find a foot print here which is believed to be that of Lord Vishnu. Also it is the hub of the famous Kumbh Mela which is held here every 12 years. You can head to here for spiritual purpose or simply be soaked by its religious overtones.

Last but certainly not the least is the scenic hill town of Kausani that is located in Uttarakhand. This town promises travellers to give them an amazing view of the Nandakot, Trishul and Nanda Devi mountains from here. It is a perfect place to head to from the never ending noise of the city and relax your nerves in its tranquility.
