Mount Abu is located in the Sirohi District of Rajasthan. Located on the highest peak of the Aravalli Range at a height of 1220mts, the hill station is a major tourist hub in the otherwise arid state of Rajasthan. Take a dip in the largest manmade lake in India or trek your way up the odd but aptly named toad rock formation. Nakki Lake
The Nakki Lake, a popular tourist attraction in Mount Abu, is at an elevation of 1200mts. It is the largest artificial lake in the country. The view of the lake is like a beautiful portrait with the water shimmering in the backdrop of the hills. Another place to mention here is that of Gandhi Ghat which was constructed in memory of Mahatama Gandhi whose ashes were immersed in this lake.

Sunset Point
Sunset Point as its name says is a popular attraction here during the evening. Tourists and locals come here during the evening to admire the view of the sun setting in the horizon. It also attracts honeymooners as Honeymoon point is close by. It is a place for shopping wherein tourists can pick up trinkets and memorabilia.

Achalgarh Fort
Achalgarh Fort situated around 11kms from Mount Abu is another tourist attraction. It is said to be of historical and religious significance. The fort has within its premises a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. There is a holy rock within this temple that is said to have the imprint of the Lord's footprints. Nandi, Lord Shiva's bull guards this temple. Local residents come here to pay their respects. The fort also comprises of a few Jain temples as well.

Brahma Kumaris Spiritual University
Visitors to Mount Abu in search for spirituality can enroll themselves at the Brahma Kumaris Spiritual University. The University is a renowned socio-spiritual educational institution and it is under the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual Organisation. Courses for meditation, yoga and spirituality are conducted here.

Dilwara Jain Temples
The Dilwara Jain Temples are a must see attraction. The five temples are elaborately carved out of white marbles. The five temples, the Vimal Vasahi, the Luna Vasahi, the Peethalhar, the Khartar Vasahi and Shri Mahaveer Wami Temple, are all different from one another. Jain devotees come here to pay homage.

Toad Rock
The Toad Rock at Mount Abu is a massive rock resembling the shape of a toad. The rock is near the Nakki Lake and on the trekking route. It ia one of the major crowd pullers in this region.

Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary
The Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary which lies in the Aravalli mountain range and is situated on a plateau is the home for many a wild animal like leopards, sambar deer, wild boar, jackal, wolf and many more. It also houses around 820 species of flora of which varieties of Orchits are found in abundance. A must visit place for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.

Mount Abu offers to its visitors a wide variety of cuisine for its gourmet travellers. One is certainly spoilt for choice with such varied options. Do certainly try out the local Rajasthani thali which is served to one on plates made out of banyan leaves.
