Junagarh

One of the places to visit in Dharamgarh is the town of Junagarh which is famous for the ancient temples here. There is an old temple here dedicated to Goddess Lankeswari who is believed to be the Goddess of war. Other temples in the vicinity include Dadhi Baman, Bhairav Gudi and Kanak Durga. Durga Puja and Ganesh Chaturthi are the major festivals celebrated at Junagarh. Mukhiguda

A major tourist place in Dharamgarh is Mukhiguda which is home to some exotic locations. The famous Indravati Dam is located here and it is India's largest and Asia's second largest power house. The natural surroundings of the dam attracts many nature lovers here. It is an ideal place to head to for a picnic with your family and also you can go boating here.

Sri Aurobindo Relics Centre

Another place to visit in Dharmgarh is the Sri Aurobido Relic Centre that houses the relics of Sri Maa and Sri Aurobindo. It has got a Education Centre here where tourists can learn about Sri Aurobindo and his life. Devotees come here to pay their respect to Sri Maa and to meditate in this silent ambiance.

How to Reach Dharamgarh

By Air: The nearest airport to Dharamgarh is the Raipur Airport in Chattisgarh which is around 239 km away. It is well connected to other major cities in the country.

By Train: The nearest railhead is the Kesinga Railway Station which is around 80 km away. This station is connected to all the major cities of the state and the country as well.

By Road: Dharamgarh is one of the major tourist destinations in Odisha and hence is well connected to all the major places of the state. State owned buses and private luxury buses are available from Bhubaneswar and Cuttack to reach Dharamgarh. Taxi services can be availed too from the neighbouring places.
