Built in the 11th century by the Jethwa rulers, Navlakha Temple is the largest temple in Gujarat that is dedicated to Lord Surya. It is located in a small village named Ghumli in the close proximity of Porbandar. As the temple was constructed at a cost of nine lakh, it was named Navlakha Temple.

The temple is mainly considered for its incredible architecture, which is said to be inspired by the likes of Somnath Temple and Modhera Sun Temple.
