Located in front of Baradari Gardens, the beautiful gardens with rare vegetation, in the district of Patiala, Shri Kali Devi Temple was built during 1936 by the king of Patiala, who brought the idol of Goddess Kali from Bengal and installed it in this temple.

The 6-foot-tall idol of Goddess Kali is adorned with jewels, colourful clothes and a few garlands. The major festival celebrated here is Navaratri, which is a nine-day celebration and hence, Hindu devotees gather here in thousands to pray and provide their goddess offerings, seeking her blessings in return.

Being located in Patiala, it is easily accessible by road. However, the best way to reach Patiala is to take trains from other major cities.

Located at Nangal in the Rupnagar district, Julfa Mata Temple is dedicated to Goddess Sati and is one of the major Hindu temples in Punjab. It is believed to be the site where one of the pieces of Goddess Sati's dead body fell which was cut by the Sudarshan chakra of Lord Vishnu in order to save the world from the rage of Lord Shiva.

Located atop the hills of Nangal, Julfa Mata Temple is a must-visit temple if you are looking to learn about the interesting tales of Hindu mythology. It is visited by several Hindu devotees of Lord Shiva and Goddess Sati.

Durgiana Temple is the most popular Hindu temple in Punjab, after the Golden Temple. Being located in Amritsar, it is visited by millions of tourists every year due to its similar structural formation to the Golden Temple.

The main sanctum of the temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga; however, you can find certain sections with the idols of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu.

It was built in 1921 by Guru Harsai Mal Kapoor and is situated in the midst of a beautiful lake, which is considered sacred amongst Hindus. You can reach Durgiana Temple by taking a direct bus, flight or train. However, the train is the most preferred mode of transport.
