Wondering where to head to for your honeymoon this monsoon? Foreign destinations too expensive for you? Well there are a few places one can head to, to celebrate their honeymoon in 2020. Goa has always been top of the list with its sun soaked beaches and the sea waves splashing in. Head to Kerala where one can either head to the backwaters at Ashtamudi and enjoy a ride in one of the house boats or visit Munnar and lose yourself in the scenic beauty of the place. There are a few more places where one can head to this monsoon. Here is a look at some of the places where one can enjoy their honeymoon this monsoon.
Goa
It is said that the true beauty of Goa can be experienced only in the monsoons when the rains run amock and bathe everything, leaving everything around fresh and pure. Apart from the beaches, where you can see the rain swept turbulent sea and take a walk along with your beloved, wildlife sanctuaries like the Mollem national park and Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary remain open throughout the year.

Dudhsagar Falls
The Dudhsagar Falls on the fringes of the Mollem national park is a site to see in the monsoons. Take an enchanting drive through dense forests and hills to reach Savoi plantation, a more than 200 year old family run spice plantation and get a feel of rural life in Goa. Once you are done wtih these sights take part in the Sao- Joao festival, the fertility feast of Saint John the Baptist, celebrated in late June.

Kovalam
Feel the beauty and power of nature as you and your beloved walk along the lighthouse beach, Hawah beach and Samundra beach. If the romance of nostalgia appeals to you, head to the Vizhinjam rock cut caves , a kilometre away from Kovalam, which give you an insight into 18th century sculpting.

Munnar
Arguably the most popular tourist place in Kerala, Munnar is a nature lover's paradise. Eravikulam national park is the home of the Nilgiri Tahr, a species of deer. Satiate your thirst for adventure in Rajamala or simply lay back and relax in the serene surroundings. Head with your beloved to Anayirankal popular for its dam, lake and tea plantations. Don't forget to visit Anamudi, the highest peak in South India.

Coorg
Coorg is a tourist destination in Karnataka situated in the South Western part of the Malnad area of Western Ghats. Coorg is also referred to as the Scotland of India and the Kashmir of Karnataka. It is famous for its evergreen forests, lush green valleys, misty hills, sprawling coffee plantations, tea estates, orange groves, lofty peaks and fast flowing streams. Coorg also offers an old world charm which is reflected in its sleepy towns. Thus making it a perfect honeymoon destination this monsoon.
Bekal
Bekal is a small town that lies peacefully in the coastline of the Arabian Sea in a village called Pallikare belonging to Kasaragod district of Kerala. This small town is notable for its picturesque beauty that grabs the attention of tourists from all corners of the world. The Bekal Fort is one of the major attractions here. The fort has an aura of its own with its mesmerising surrounding that meets the vast sea. Other attractions include a temple devoted to Hanuman and an old mosque established by Tipu Sultan.

Ashtamudi
Ashtamudi Backwaters offer honeymoon couples with an excellent opportunity to watch the beauty of nature at close quarters. This docile backwater stretch is formed by Ashtamudi Lake, the greatest and the biggest fresh water lake of the state. The chief attraction of Ashtamudi Backwaters is houseboat cruising- an activity no one would want to miss. One can also enjoy the Ayurvedic massages and have romantic dinner overlooking the backwaters.
