What Can You Find in Mollem National Park?

Forest reserves are some of the best places for photography tours. Yes, it is a visual treat as you can see the lush green trees towering the roof of the forests, catch a glimpse of unique insects and of course see the wild animals at close proximity.

Mollem National Park has animals such as bonnet macaques, Malabar giant squirells, black panthers, spotted deer, leopards, pangolins and so on. It is also a home to a number of bird species like golden orioles, large green barbets, Sri Lanka frogmouths, drongos, racket-tailed drongos, etc.

Wildlife safari in this park is a must-try activity at this national park.

Tambdi Waterfalls

Tambdi Surla Waterfalls is a gorgeous waterfalls located inside the Mollem National Park. The waterfalls is hidden in the deep forest and a trekking trail is there to reach the waterfalls. Tambdi Surla Waterfalls is one of the must-visit tourist places in Mollem National Park.

Tambdi Surla Temple

The Tambdi Surla Mahadev Temple is one of the ancient relics which has survived the invasions of the Portuguese in Goa. It is said to be a 12th century architecture with a blend of Kadamba and Yadava Style of architecture. Probably, its remote location has saved it from the invasions and it remains as one of the oldest temples in Goa.

Lord Shiva is the presiding deity of Tambdi Surla Temple. This Basali structure is one of the must-visit places inside Mollem National Park.

Dudhsagar Waterfalls

Who doesn't know about Dudhsagar Falls? It is situated just around 5km from Mollem National Park. Usually, the visitors cover Dudhsagar Falls in their trip to this national park.

How to Reach Mollem National Park

Mollem National Park is located in the Sanguem at the Goa-Karnataka Border. It is accessible through the nearby town of Mollem. The capital city of Panaji is around 70km from Mollem National Park. You can hire private cabs or vehicles to reach Mollem National Park.

By Train: Madgaon Railway Station is the nearest railway station to Mollem National Park.
