A spellbinding hill station located in Mumbai, Matheran is an extension of the Sahyadri Ranges. Matheran is a lesser explored place by tourists coming outside the borders of Maharasthra. This zero-pollution zone is a must visit if you're in Mumbai or Pune. The roads here are not tarred and are made of red laterite earth. With 28 points, 2 lakes, 2 parks, 4 major worship places and a racecourse; Matheran should ideally make it to the top of your must-visit places in Maharashtra.
