20 Marvellous Forts of Maharashtra

Maharashtra is among the post popular states in India that attract tourists around the year from both the country as well as the world. Tourism in the state range from religious to adventure travel, and has many destinations that are worth visiting many times over. Maharashtra is among the most wealthy regions of the country and is famous both for its vast range of industries and as the entertainment hub of the country. The interesting confluence of culture and art in the state comes naturally from the colourful history that the region experienced under various dynasties from the early Mauryan empire to the strong Maratha rule.
