Plan Your Vacation In India By Looking At The Long Weekends Of 2022

Here is a complete list of 2022 long weekends to help you plan 2022 well.

The last two years of mandatory isolation and lockdowns have taught us that no matter how much we plan, things don't pan out the way we want. And it feels like a sick cycle carousel as all the plans made for trips and celebrations go unfulfilled. At this point, with Covid cases soaring, the things that were once considered normal are once again in limbo. However, anticipating long weekends and holidays is not without its pitfalls when planning trips.

Here is a complete list of 2022 long weekends to help you plan 2022 well.

January

There are plenty of places to travel in India, even on January weekends. But the snowfall of Auli and the ancient sights of Jodhpur, which must be visited in January, can never be postponed.

There are three weekends to go on vacation in January. If you take a leave on Friday, 31 December, you will get three consecutive days off on 1 January; Saturday and two Sundays.

January 13th and 14th are the holidays for most people to celebrate Makarasankranti and Pongal. The next 15, 16 days are Saturday and Sunday. If you are planning a day trip, you will get four consecutive days.

The third longest weekend in January begins on Republic Day, Wednesday the 26th. If you can take leave on the 27th and 28th (Thursday and Friday) then you can plan a long journey as you wish by adding the following Saturday and Sunday.

February

Valentine's Day - No one needs a special reason to travel this coming February. It is also a time when people value romantic travel.

February has a long weekend in the month-end. February 26th and 27th are weekends. If it is possible to take a leave on Monday 28th, you will get four more days off on Tuesday; 1 March, the day of Mahashivaratri.

March

March is a good time to take a trip to get acquainted with natural beauty. March is the right time to enjoy the beauty of Northeast India, especially Meghalaya.

After Mahashivaratri on Tuesday, 1 March, the following holidays are Holika Dahan and Holi on Thursday, 17 March and Friday, 18 March. The last 19th and 20th are Saturday and Sunday.

April

April is the best time to relax in the lap of natural wonders. Since April falls between monsoon and winter, the balmy weather gives more energy to the travellers. Dharamshala is one of the best places to visit at this time.

April has a long weekend from 14th to 17th.

May

May is the time when the summer days really starts to kick in. Therefore, one can visit Rishikesh and enjoy its adventurous activities. May has three long weekends.

30 April is Saturday, and 1 May is Sunday. If you can take a leave on Monday, May 2, you can set aside four days for travel and celebrations, including Tuesday's Eid-ul-Fitr.

May 14, 15 is Saturday and Sunday. 16 Monday is the Buddha Purnima holiday, so there will be a three-day holiday in the same week.

June

There is not a single holiday in June 2022 except for the mundane Saturdays and Sundays. So those planning a trip in June should only make weekend trips.

July

July carries the same vibe as June. With just one public holiday - Rath Yatra on Friday, 1 July.

August

Unfortunately, the months of June and July, which doesn't have any holidays in 2022, may disappoint people in India. However, August is a time of great relief for the travellers of August. Muharram falls on Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7, the eighth day of the month.

A well-planned five-day vacation in August is a must. Thursday, August 11 is Raksha Bandhan's holiday. If you can take a break on Friday the 12th, you can add a weekend leave on Saturday and Sunday (August 13 - 14). Monday, August 15 is Independence Day. With this in mind, you can plan one of the best trips of the year.

There is also a three-day leave. Janmashtami is on Friday, August 19, followed by Saturday and Sunday, August 20 and 21. Ganesha Chaturthi falls on August 31 on Wednesday.

September

September is one of the best months to visit Rajasthan. Also, this year's Onam is in September. So there is no doubt about how the holidays can be spent.

After the Ganesha Chaturthi holiday on Wednesday, August 31st, September 1st and 2nd i.e. Thursday, Friday and 3rd and 4th Saturday and Sunday, if left, is organized. So plan a five-day trip.

Onam 2022 falls on Wednesday, September 8. If you take a holiday on Friday the 9th, you can have a great Onam celebration at home, counting the weekends on the 10th and 11th.

October

The highlight of October this year is the number of October long holidays. October is the best time to visit beach destinations like Goa and Gokarna.

In October, Gandhi Jayanti falls on October 2 (Sunday) in addition to the Dussehra holidays on October 3, 4 and 5 (Monday to Wednesday). The holiday falls on Saturday, Sunday (October 1 -2), Monday and Tuesday (October 3-4 for Maha Ashtami and Maha Navami), and then Wednesday (October 5 - Dussehra).

Apart from this, there is also the Diwali holiday. October 22, 23 are Saturday and Sunday. Diwali is on Monday the 24th.

November

With one month left until the end of November, November can be set aside for unplanned trips. This is also a good time to enjoy the jungle and wildlife.

If you plan a four-day vacation, you can take it in November. November 5, 6 are Saturday and Sunday. After taking leave on November 7, Guru Nanak; can take another Jayanti to leave on Tuesday.

December

December is the month that introduces Christmas and New Year. In December 2022 there is another holiday of three days besides Christmas (December 25). Friday (December 30 - 1 day off), followed by Saturday and Sunday (December 31 - January 1).
