Langshiang Falls is located in the West Khasi Hills district at a distance of around 25 km from Nongstoin and 105 km from Shillong in the state of Meghalaya. Being a perennial waterfall due to heavy rainfall in the region, Langshiang Falls remains flooded with water throughout the year.

It is located on the Kynshi river and is formed after the river splits into two and falls into a deep gorge in the forests of West Khasi Hills. The region around the waterfall is the settlement of several villages which include the village of Mawpon too.

Falling from the height of 1106 feet, Langshiang Falls is one of the highest waterfalls in India. Due to its green surroundings, it's gaining popularity day by day. Hence, the government of the state is also planning to take several measures to increase national tourism in the area.

By Airport: The nearest domestic airport from Langshiang Falls is at Shillong at a distance of around 105 km and the nearest international airport is at Guwahati at a distance of around 150 km.

By Rail: You can catch a train to Guwahati railway station and then from there you can hire a cab to West Khasi Hills where Langshiang Falls is located. It will take you an approximate time of two and half hours to reach your destination from Guwahati.

By Road: Located in the West Khasi Hills district near Nongstoin, Langshiang Falls is easily accessible by road.
