By Air: The nearest airport from Digha is located at Kolkata only at an approximate distance of 185 km.

By Rail: There are no direct trains available between Digha and Kolkata. However, you can catch a train to Ramnagar Bengal railway station, which is located at a distance of around 10 km from Digha. Once you have reached the station, you can hire a cab to Digha.

By Road: Digha is well connected to Kolkata and nearby cities by road. It is located at a distance of around 180 km from Kolkata and is easily accessible by road.


Route 1: Kolkata - Tamluk - Contai - Digha

Route 2: Kolkata - Fatepur - Digha


Route 1 is the fastest as it will take one and half hours lesser in comparison to route 2. Hence, you can reach your destination within 5 hrs through route 1. While on your way, you can also take a break at the following places.

Located on the banks of Rupnarayan river in the Purba Medinipur district at a distance of around 91 km from Kolkata, Tamluk is believed to be an ancient town which has been in existence for centuries. It is also known as Tamralipta amongst several scholars.

Apart from visiting its old temples and ancient religious places, you can also go boating and swim in the waters of Rupnarayan river.
