It is settled at an elevation of more than 14,000 ft, thereby, making it one of the highest inhabited places in the country. The nearest town from this beautiful village is Kaza at a distance of about 45 km and most of the people living here are Buddhists.

By Air: The nearest airport to Hikkim is located in Bhuntar at a distance of about 265 km. If you desire to travel by air, then you can take a direct flight to Bhuntar airport and then from there, you can either hire a cab or use public transport to reach Hikkim.

By Rail: The nearest railhead to Hikkim is located in Joginder Nagar at a distance of about 375 km. Once you have reached Joginder Nagar, you can either hire a cab or use public transport to reach Hikkim.

By Road: Hikkim is well connected to other cities and towns of Himachal Pradesh by road. Hence, you can easily approach it by road.
