The Devil's Kitchen in Kodaikanal, popularly known as the Guna Caves, is one of the interesting, yet dangerous, attractions of Kodaikanal. The caves get the name from the old Kamal Hassan starrer Guna which was shot here.

Located between the Green Valley View Point and the Pillar Rocks in Kodaikanal, this hidden narrow valley called the Devil's Kitchen is one of the places where only the adventurous tend to visit. There are unusual rock formations, deep chambers between the rocks and even deeper falls from erosion of soil from cliffs.
The Devil's Kitchen was closed to the public for about a decade due to the high number of love-couples who come and commit suicide here. However, recently the region has been open to tourists, with the fence only covering the caves which is dangerous and may be risky to enter.

The Devil's Kitchen has its mentions in Hindu mythology. It is believed that Pandavas had stayed here for a while. The place is said to be inhabited by bats, making tourists hesitant to travel here in the dark. It's an ideal place for nature and wildlife photography for the animals and birds that can be spotted.
