The engineless train, which is expected to start its journey in January 2019, has been named Train 18 and will have a top speed of about 160 kmph, thereby, becoming the fastest train on the Delhi-Bhopal route by replacing Shatabdi Express.
However, as per government officials, the train will also be tested at a speed of 180 kmph. Isn't it the perfect news for regular travellers on the Delhi-Bhopal route? As per recent reports, the construction of the train will be completed by the end of September. The train is being built entirely in Chennai in order to support and promote Make-in-India campaign.
It will have 16 chair-car coaches and out of them, two coaches will be of executive class with a seating capacity of 56 people. Other coaches will have a seating capacity of 78. The train is designed with a stainless steel body and full scape windows. Isn't it enough to make your journey comfortable?
