Ratnagiri Alphonso Mango

Ratnagiri - Alphonso Mangoes

Season: April to July

Hapus Mangoes are the essence of Ratnagiri. The fertile alluvial soil gives yummy Mangoes that are quite expensive in the market. Ratnagiri, in the coastlines of Maharashtra is a beautiful town. Alphonso Mango with its creamy-sweetness is the King of Indian Mangoes. 'Hapus' with the 'H' being silent is the local name for these mangoes.

You can say that " Strawberries Paint the Hill Station Red"! Pinkish Red Strawberry farms are one of the attractions in Mahabaleshwar. A trip to Mahabaleshwar is incomplete without a visit to the strawberry farms. Strawberry products fill the shops in this hill station. Even strawberry festivals are organised in Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani.
