This town in the state of Haryana, gets its name from a Hindi word 'sona', which means gold, from the gold dust that engulfs the area. Sohna is famous for its sulphur water springs and ancient temples.

Visit the 100-year-old Shiva temple and natural spring of sulphur-rich water while in Sohna. For a leisurely activity, visit Haryana's biggest lake - the Damdama lake and go boating. Jim Corbett is the place to be, especially for the wildlife lovers and adventure seekers. Home to the endangered Bengal Tigers, and exclusive flora and fauna, the place is blessed with abundant natural beauty.

It is known that April through mid-June is the best time to spot the tiger. Wildlife enthusiasts can go exploring the rich wildlife by taking the jeep safaris, or guided elephant tours. A bird-watching tour also happens in a nearby Kalagarh Dam. Do not miss the Corbett Falls that cascades amidst a thick forest.

Surrounded by thick oak and blue pine forests, Lansdowne is a hill station town in Uttarakhand. It is a perfect place for a relaxing and unwinding holiday experience, due to being less crowded and an offbeat holiday destination. Maintained by the Garhwal Rifles regiment, this cantonment town is one of the closest hill stations from Delhi.

Lansdowne has numerous adventure activities including treks, birding and boating. The Tip n Top viewpoint offers some of the best views of the magnificent Shivalik range. A man-made lake called Bhulla Tal is a serene spot for boating and paddling. Visit the churches, temples, and museums and explore the place leisurely.

Feel the old world charm of this cool place as you stroll through the Mall Road and Camel's Back Road. Watch the town from above by riding on the Mussoorie ropeway, that takes you to the Gun Hill which is the highest point in Mussoorie. Visit the Jharipani Falls and Kempty Falls which are 6 km and 15 km away, respectively.
