Bhimakali Temple

Bhimakali was the presiding deity of former Bushahr dynastyin Himachal Pradesh. Sree Bhimakali Temple is situated in Sarahan and is one of the shakti peethas. It is one of the famous devi temples which is believed to be mentioned in Hindu mythologies.

Banni Mata Temple

Banni Mata Temple

Mahakali Banni Mata Temple is also known as Shakti Devi Temple. It is located at the base of Pir Panjal Himalayan Ranges in the Chamba Valley. The temple gets the name 'Banni' from the surrounding Ban (Oak) trees.

Himani Chamunda

Himani Chamunda

Himani Chamunda Temple in Kangra Valley is one the devi temples. It is one of the old temples which have been restored. The main deity is Goddess Chamunda/ Chamundi (another form of Kali). The shrine is situated on a hill top and it is one of the main attractions for the trekkers here.

Chintpurni Temple is dedicated to Chinnamastika Devi and it is one of the prime shakti peethas. Chintpurni Temple is situated at Uni district of Himachal Pradesh. It is a major pilgrimage site.

Jwala Ji

Jwala Ji

Jwala Ji is one of the popular devi temples situated in Kangra Valley. Jwala means 'flames' and the here the prime deity is the Goddess of Flames. Many legends and stories relate to the origin of Jwala Devi temple.

Naina Devi Temple

Naina Devi Temple

Naina Devi Temple is situated on a hill top. According to the legend, when Sati's body got cut into pieces, her eyes fell in this place. Hence, here the temple is called as Naina (eye) Devi Temple.

Trilokpur Devi

Trilokpur Devi

Trilokpur is known for the goddess Bala Sundri Devi temple. Trilokpur also means that they're 3 shakti peethas in a triangular shape. Bala Sundri Devi in Trilokpur is the main temple among these three temples.

Hidimba Devi Temple

Hidimba Devi Temple

Hidimba Devi is most famous one as it is unique temple. Here the temple is dedicated to the demon Hidimba mentioned in the epic Mahabharatha. It is believed that Hidimba performed the meditation here and was suppose to have lived here with her brother Hidimb (demon). Hadimba Devi is one of the unusual temples in India.
