Many Bollywood movies have also increased the popularity of certain places which were otherwise unexplored. Even the monuments like Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, etc. have become a part of many films which keep reminding of our heritage sites.

Amer Fort - Bajirao Mastani
Amer Fort or Amber Fort is located around 11km from Jaipur. In the film Bajirao Mastani has shot many scenes in Amer Fort.
Amer Fort is a World Heritage Site and is one of the famous Bollywood Shooting locations in India.Many other Bollywood movies like Jodha Akbar, Veer, Bol Bachan were also shot here.

Sonamarg - Bhajrangi Bhaijaan
Bhajrangi Bhaijaan turned out to be a smashing hit. It is not only the script and actors but also the locations that has made it a success.
Sonamarg in Jammu and Kashmir was one of the best shooting locations of Bhajrangi Bhaijaan movie.

Qutub Minar - Fanaa
Have you seen the song 'Chand Sifarish' song in Fanaa? The song showcases Qutub Minar in the background.
Many other historical sites like Lodhi Gardens, Jantar Mantar were also part of this Bollywood movie.Some scenes were also shot in Kashmir. We all loved the locations right?!

Pangong Tso Lake - 3 Idiots
Who doesn't remember the climax scene of 3 Idiots?Yes, the scene is a famous one and the location as well. It was shot on the banks of Pangong Tso lake in Ladakh.
Guess what? Other Bollywood films Dil Se, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, etc. have also shoot some scenes in this destination.

The film Barfi was extensively shot in Darjeeling, Ooty, Pollachi and Kolkata.The film has surely captured Darjeeling and its Himalyan Railway (Toy Train) in an awesome way.
