Perfect for nature lovers, you can indulge in trekking through the sanctuary. Some animals you may spot include leopard, red fox, Himalayan goral, etc. and birds like magpies, nuthatches, parakeets, etc.

This temple is dedicated to Golu Devata or Lord Golu, who is a major mythological god and is particularly worshipped by the folks in the Kumaon region. Golu Devata is in fact an incarnation of Lord Shiva. The temple is also known as Chitai Golu Devata Temple by some people.
