Nakki Lake

The Nakki Lake, a popular tourist attraction in Mount Abu, is at an elevation of 1200 mt. It is the largest artificial lake in the country. The view of the lake is like a beautiful portrait with the water shimmering in the backdrop of the hills. Another place to mention here is that of Gandhi Ghat which was constructed in memory of Mahatama Gandhi whose ashes were immersed in this lake.

Varanasi Ghat

Varanasi also known as Banaras is situated on the banks of river Ganga in Uttar Pradesh and is one of the oldest cities in the world. Tourists coming here get to glimpse into the various religious beliefs of the people and also enjoy the beauty of the town. There are nearly 100 ghats bordering the river Ganga in Varanasi. Take a boat ride along the ghats and enjoy the serenity here.

The lake is set against the backdrop of the mighty Himalayas and is known for its houseboats and 'shikara'. The houseboats at the Dal Lake take tourists around on smooth rides around the lake.

Naini Lake

Naini Lake

Naini Lake is the prime attraction of Nainital, which is surrounded by green hills. Travellers can enjoy activities like yachting, rowing and paddling here. This lake is quite long, and its northern end is known as the Mallital, while the southern is called the Tallital. This is the only lake having a bridge with a post office on it.
