The wildlife sanctuary comprises of Bhindawas Bird Sanctuary which is more famous among the bird lovers. The bird sanctuary which is surrounded around Bhindawas lake is often compared to its famous neighbouring Sultanpur National Park.
Bhindawas Bird Sanctuary is a man-made wetland which attracts several migratory birds in the winter season. The bird sanctuary was established in 2009 and it is one of the best weekend getaways from Delhi.

One interesting thing is that, tourists don't have to walk much in the sanctuary. They can take their vehicles inside the 12km stretch of the reserve and this is awesome I must say.
Birds in Bhindawas Bird Sanctuary
Bhindawas Bird Sanctuary has several species of resident birds as well as migratory birds that come here. Resident birds such as Little grebe, white-throated Kingfishers, Black drongos, laughing doves, spotted owlets, blue peafowls, etc. can be seen here.

The months of December and January is the best time to visit the Bhindawas Bird Sanctuary.
How to Reach Bhindawas Bird Sanctuary
Bhindawas Bird Sanctuary is around 75km from the National Capital of Delhi. It is about 15km from the town of Jhajjar in Haryana.
By Road: You can take the Rohtak and Jhajjar Road to reach Bhindawas from Delhi. Buses are available from Haryana or Delhi to reach Jhajjar.
By Train: Jhajjar Railway Station is the nearest railway station to Bhindawas.
