India has plenty of picturesque tourist destinations that have been favourite shooting locations for many Bollywood films. We have hill stations that beat foreign destinations and backwaters that earn us envy.
Let's see which among these places are often used in Bollywood songs to make them visually appealing.
Dal Lake, Kashmir
Kashmir has been praised in books and movies alike. One of the lovely places here, the Dal Lake, has been a sought after location for many Bollywood songs too. The famous old songs "Yeh chand sa roshan chehra.." and "Accha toh hum chalte hain" are among the songs that were shot here.
Agra, Uttar Pradesh
Agra is the place where Taj Mahal, the epitome of love, exists. From poets to film makers, the Shah Jahan-Mumtaz love story has been an inspiration to weave stories. Interestingly, the monument has made Agra popular to an extent that Bollywood film makers consider Agra a lucky charm. "Bol na halke halke" from Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and "Ajooba" from Jeans are two songs that were shot in romantic Agra.

Delhi
The capital city Delhi is one of the most chosen shooting locations in Bollywood. Films like Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, Dilli-6, and Delly Belly are just a few of the movies shot here. From the historical monuments to the streets of Delhi, these films have covered every possible corner of the city. "Yeh Dilli hain mere yaar...bas ishq mohabbat pyar.." is one song that even has the flavour of Dilli in its lyrics!
Darjeeling, West Bengal
Darjeeling is one of the beautiful places that are often visited by tourists from across the globe. Some of the popular Bollywood songs like "Mere sapnon ki rani.." were shot here. Barfi is a recent one that has been shot here too.

"Tujhe Aksa beach ghuma doon.." from God tussi great ho is one of the many Bollywood songs that has been filmed in Mumbai, the city of dreams.
Goa
The title song of the movie Dil Chahta Hai was shot in Goa. Not jut that, the beaches here have been filmed in many other movies too. Rangeela, Pyar tune kya kiya, Ek duje ke liye are some of the other movies shot here.
